We're fundraising to support Walking with the Wounded

Walking With The Wounded supports a pathway for vulnerable veterans to re-integrate back into society and sustain their independence. At the heart of this journey is employment, and we want to support Walking with the Wounded's ultimate aim of helping veterans back into work.

Your support will help fund Walking With The Wounded's vital services for veterans.

£675 is the average cost of a course of therapy sessions through our mental health programme - Head Start

£706.56 is the average cost of a for each beneficiary in our employment programme which embeds employment advisors into homeless centres - Home Straight

£800 Will support a veteran through our criminal justice programme - Project Nova

£2361 is the average award for a beneficiary going through our retraining programme - First Steps

Walking with the Wounded recognises the inherent skills of our armed service personnel and wants to complement these qualities, as well as provide support to transfer their skills into the civilian workplace. We offer assistance through our programmes to those vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and assist them in sustaining their independence through new sustainable careers outside of the military. This includes providing support to homeless veterans and veterans in the Criminal Justice System, areas which are too often ignored.

The outcome is sustainable employment, and independence for them and their families.

Thank you for your support.
